Rocket Host – Website Development Services
Effective Date: April 25, 2025

These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern your use of services provided by Rocket Host, a professional digital and website development agency. By engaging with our services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By requesting, purchasing, or continuing to use our services, you accept and agree to abide by the terms laid out herein. If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue use of our services.

2. Services We Provide

Rocket Host specializes in the following website-related services:

  • Website Design & Custom Development
  • WordPress & CMS Websites
  • eCommerce Website Development
  • Website Speed Optimization
  • Mobile Responsive Development
  • UI/UX and Conversion-Oriented Design
  • Hosting Setup and Configuration
  • On-Page SEO and Basic Optimization
  • Website Maintenance & Support
  • Domain Setup and Security Protocols

Note: We do not offer software development or unrelated services under these terms.

3. Project Engagement & Process

Upon mutual agreement:

  • A custom proposal and quote are shared with the client.
  • The client must sign off on the project scope, timelines, and payment terms.
  • A project will commence once the agreed deposit (typically 50%) is received.
  • Communication will primarily occur via email, project portal, or scheduled calls.

4. Service Timelines

We aim to deliver all services within agreed timelines. However:

  • Timelines depend on timely feedback, approvals, and content provision from the client.
  • Delays caused by third-party services, hosting providers, or force majeure are not our responsibility.

5. Website Visibility and SEO Responsibility

We ensure every website we build is SEO-ready by:

  • Structuring clean code and responsive design
  • Optimizing metadata, URLs, and internal links
  • Submitting your site to Google Search Console (if access is granted)
  • Installing performance-enhancing tools like caching and image optimization plugins

However:

  • Long-term visibility, ranking, and organic traffic growth depend on continuous SEO and content strategies, which are available under a separate SEO package.
  • We are not responsible for search engine rankings beyond the initial optimization unless a formal SEO agreement is in place.

6. Client Responsibilities

The client agrees to:

  • Provide all required content (text, logos, images, etc.) in a timely manner.
  • Respond to approvals, revisions, and testing feedback within specified windows.
  • Ensure they own the rights to all materials submitted.

7. Payment Terms

  • 50% deposit is required to initiate the project.
  • The remaining 50% is due upon final approval before website deployment.
  • Delayed payments may pause progress and attract penalty fees.

8. Revisions & Feedback

  • Up to 2 rounds of revisions are included per page or feature.
  • Additional revision requests may incur extra charges based on hourly rates.
  • Final approval signifies client satisfaction and project closure.

9. Ownership and Licensing

  • Upon full payment, the client owns the completed website.
  • Any third-party assets (fonts, images, plugins) retain their original licenses.
  • Rocket Host reserves the right to showcase completed projects in our portfolio unless a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) is signed.

10. Hosting, Domains & Maintenance

  • Hosting services provided by Rocket Host are subject to separate terms.
  • If using third-party hosting, the client is responsible for server performance and access.
  • Maintenance is not included by default and must be purchased separately.

11. Data Protection and Confidentiality

We take data privacy seriously. We commit to:

  • Not disclosing client information to third parties without consent.
  • Protecting sensitive data with secure storage and communication protocols.
  • Ensuring compliance with GDPR and local data protection laws where applicable.

12. Client Support

  • Regular support hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (EAT).
  • Support is provided via email, ticketing system, or client portal.
  • Urgent after-hours or weekend support may be billed separately unless covered under a premium support plan.

13. Third-Party Tools & Services

  • We may integrate third-party services (plugins, analytics tools, etc.) as needed.
  • We are not responsible for issues caused by third-party plugin failures or discontinued support.
  • Additional licensing fees for premium tools are billed to the client when applicable.

14. Warranties & Limitations

Rocket Host warrants:

  • Delivery of professional-grade, functional websites as per scope.
  • Bug fixes and minor updates for up to 14 days post-launch.

However:

  • We do not guarantee specific business results, search engine rankings, or traffic volumes.
  • We are not responsible for client-side alterations, security breaches, or loss due to external hosting failures.

15. Cancellations & Refunds

  • A client may cancel a project with written notice.
  • Deposits are non-refundable.
  • Refunds for unused services will be considered case-by-case based on work already completed.

16. Termination of Services

We may terminate service if:

  • Client violates any part of this agreement.
  • Payments remain overdue beyond 14 days.
  • There is a breach of communication for more than 30 consecutive days.

All pending fees must be settled before files or project assets are handed over.

17. Modifications to These Terms

Rocket Host reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. The latest version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services implies acceptance of the updated terms.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed under the laws of the UK. All legal disputes shall be resolved in Kenyan courts.
